I just thought I'd pass this on to every one. Brian Wygand (aka. notenoughbricks) was quite impressed with our display's

Cale,
We met at Brick Fair and I have to compliment you on not only your amazingly beautiful and detailed trains but also on the layout you and your lugmates displayed at Brick Fair. It was inspiring to see what a LUG could come together and create and this is something I hope my tiny LUG on Long Island can become a quarter as good as.

Really, amazing stuff!

Brian

Brian is involved with starting Long Island LUG. I invited him to join our forums to ask any questions or to just keep in touch. Does any one know if he is aware of or if he has talked to any one about LEGO KidsFest? It seem with KidsFest coming to NY it would be a great opportunity for them.

More new from Brian and LongILUG.

Just wanted to give you an update about the Long Island Lug. We (well, I) got a library display case reserved for the LUG during the month of October! This will be our 1st display in public and it measures 4.5'X3.5' and is 13" deep. This should hopefully allow for a cool set up on one shelf of modular homes/facades decorated for Halloween. A thought just popped into my head to have a contest where kids have to guess how many skeletons/pumpkins or whatever are in the display.

I let the guys in the lug know about this and I hope they are as excited about it as I am.

You weren't the only guy in PENNLUG to mention this as a way to grow the LUG but I wanted to thank you and your LUG for the suggestion.

On a somewhat related matter, I am going to attempt to join the PENNLUG forums as a visitor if that is possible. I would like to do so because I think your experience and knowledge would be a great benefit to someone like me who is trying to build a LUG.

Brian
