Re: BickMagic 2011
Looks good. Nice to have the windfarm again.
If we still need 2 Grand Emporiums, I'll bring mine if someone else can also bring theirs. Otherwise I won't bother. The Grander Emporium would look odd with only 3 corners.

This will be our best layout to date.

To any one coming to help set up. My printer died and I'm unable to print out the plan. If some one would be willing to run off a few copies that would be great. I'll have my computer there with the plan but it's always nice to have a few paper copies on hand.
Thank you and see you at the show.

So that's how it happened :-)
Now I see how all those things I marveled at came together...
Best to all,

Re: BickMagic 2011
Hi Gordan,
I think we did quite a bit of design as we go with the Town portion. Cale comes up with the main layout and then leaves the Town section upto Rob and I, the "City Planning Commision". It does work well between Rob and I. We take the basic layout, and pick and place buildings according to look, style, "function" (residential / apartments or business type). We changed a few things and added a few extra tables behind the main street to give depth. I think that this was one of our best collaborations to date. As you remember from dinner, we kept coming up with more ideas on how to improve. That is how most of the group thinks and why we work so well together (including members that weren't able to make it to BM).

the city planning commission meets just before the wind farm planning commission.

In Rob and my defense Cale coined the phrase
I just don't remember whether it was on the forum or on Flickr? I'm leaning towards Flickr

Re: BickMagic 2011
That's funny. The city planning commission is also the rural/wind farm commission now, but who am I to argue, they do an awesome job!ctbyrne wrote:the city planning commission meets just before the wind farm planning commission.
Now if I could only find a way to sneak in a launch pad for some space in the city layout...

The Wind farm now needs an abandoned volcano on the back side with a hidden launch pad... umm "You Only Live Twice" 007

Re: BickMagic 2011
I wanna build this. And then I can fly a R/C airwolf out of it at the convention.

I was actually going to build something like this using the big yellow brick that KC gave us.

I know of a pretty good lava monster design we could use.

As head of the PennLUG zooilogical society ( specializing in invertabrates) I approve of all building of Lava Monsters, or any other animals for that matter.
