I plan to be there. I will bring my trains, my port (if it's possible to transport it) and my subway. I may also try to bring my space container ship for the MOC table.
PS: Francis plans to come as well, as least he did the last time I talked to him. He won't need a place to stay, I don't think, as we both have relatives nearby.

Re: LEGO Kidsfest Hartford Connecticut 2010
I can be there part of the time, butprobably NOT Thursday, I have requested time off from the bus fri thru mon, as long as my mom will stay here with Trev. Can bring Snail Emporium and Brick Park for the train layout, and any stock buildings if needed. Can also bring stuff for the misc table.
Re: LEGO Kidsfest Hartford Connecticut 2010
Everything needs to be set up by 4pm on Friday? If so, we will need to pass our items on to someone because we can't get there until Friday night.

Re: LEGO Kidsfest Hartford Connecticut 2010
I would like to attend and could probably take off Thursday and Friday from work, assuming I can get a ride from Philly.
Hartford: Phil's not interested
After much consideration, you can count me out for Hartford. It's a lot of work, it's two weeks after Philcon (and the sustained prep leading up to it), and the thank-you package isn't sufficient enticement for me, personally. If it had 2009's special Enfield visit, that'd be different.
But that's just me. If anyone else wants to do both Philcon and Hartford, I assume you won't be frazzled from designing a program track and program book, and so your recovery will be faster.

By the way, I'm not sure how we're working out room arrangements, but my wife & baby are considering coming up as well.
Edit: I think it'll just be me this time around.

Re: LEGO Kidsfest Hartford Connecticut 2010
I think I mentioned to some of you at the last meeting that my band has been offered to work with a very well known and established producer. The first time he can come up to work with us is the weekend of KidsFest.
Pursuing a music career is something I have been working on for years and getting together with this producer is not an opportunity I am going to mess up. Therefore Michelle and I will not be able to attend KidsFest this year.
Sorry.
The good news is that us not going should make the hotel room issue a bit easier to figure out

We will certainly miss the two of you at Kidsfest. Good luck in your music pursuit. Hopefully you can make Kidsfest Philly in April.

Re: LEGO Kidsfest Hartford Connecticut 2010
(Weird. I could swear I posted this yesterday, but I don't see it on the board so I'll post again).
Before I request Thursday and Friday off for Kidsfest, I want to make sure I can get a ride from someone in the Philly area to/from Kidsfest. Most of my stuff is already packed, so I just need room for a suitcase and probably one office-paper-sized box. Thanks.

Re: LEGO Kidsfest Hartford Connecticut 2010
I can probably transport you, Rob. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I'm bringing and how much space it'll take up.
Warning: I may not be returning to Philly until Monday.

Re: LEGO Kidsfest Hartford Connecticut 2010
Here are some additional details on set up times for Kidsfest Hartford.
The convention hall will be open for load in and set up for Exhibitors on Thursday at 12pm to 8pm. We are also able to set up Friday, 7am – 10am.
We will not be able to drive vehicles into the hall as we did last year. As you approach the dock, there will be a security guard directing you to park in a bay or off to the side depending on what type of vehicle you have.
As more details are released they will be posted here.

Re: LEGO Kidsfest Hartford Connecticut 2010
I have thought about this carefully, and I am willing to not go to Kidsfest now. That frees up a spot, and gives me the leeway to take off more time for the Philly Kidsfest in the spring. I wasn't gonna be able to do much with setup for this one anyhows, as I wasn't gona get there till late late Thursday night. If you want my emporium or park, I will need to get them to someone, but I am guessing that since space is also limited, we can just do without them. There are a few small things I would like to send with you guys, if we can work it out. If we end up with fewer than 12 people going, let me know ASAP, so I can still come, because I am going to tell work very soon whether I need the time off or not. KC

Hey does anyone have Tony Sties' phone number? I figure since he lives literally a couple miles from me he can skip the train crap and ride with me in the blue bomber.

Hello Pete,
I have arranged a ride with the other Tony. I don't know if he has room for one more but we can ask. He is picking me up at 8 am on Thursday. I thank you for thinking of me.

Hey no problem. Would he have room, though? I've got my suitcase plus a couple of small boxes that fit all my MOCs. I don't mind driving myself, but if anyone else wants to go with me, let me know.

Re: LEGO Kidsfest Hartford Connecticut 2010
It's now confirmed that we will get an additional 2 spaces. That will make for a total of 8 10x10 spaces for PennLUG. Our train layout will be using 4 leaving the other 4 for our individual MOCs.
