Uncle Al's Minigun review
This a product review for the custom molded weapons fans out there. This year has given builders 3 new options other than the brick built route for their mini gun needs. Option one is of course the Brickarms mini gun costing eight dollars & comming with grip handle & small ammo chain. Option 2 is from Si-Dan Toys costing $2.70 USD or $3.70 AUD, it comes with no accessories. Option 3 is from Bion's Weapon Warehouse through Shapeways. It is sold in two parts barrell at $3.46 USD & motor assembly at $3.09 USD.
The Brickarms mini gun is available from all of their official re-sellers. I was slighty dissapointed with the Brickarms version. It looks okay & has the interchangeable barrell shroud, but is lacking the pizzaz of their other weapons.
The Si-Dan Toys version is available on Bricklink at A Minifig.Cat's Store or through Minifig World.com. It is awesome. The barrell spins, the front handle/mount also swivels, it has built in grips, clip, bottom stud & pass through for ammo chain.
The Bion's version may have the least going for it. First it is not ABS but 3-D printed nylon that comes in a limited range of colors. It is more expensive. It comes from England so shipping is a factor. Then comes the work of smoothing out the piece with sandpaper. One good factor is that with the 3-D printing process the barrells are truly separated. I don't actually own one from Bion's Yet, so I can't attest to it's quality. As for the other 2, If you want an infantry portable mini gun like in the movie "Predator" then the Si-Dan Toys version is far & away the best. If you want a mini gun for on a MOC like a helicopter, spaceship or small Mecha then one other choices may be the way to go.

Re: Uncle Al's Minigun review
Thanks for the review Sam. I didn't know about the other mini guns. The Si-Dan Toys one looks like the one to get.
