Someone on the Ambassadors Forum posted a question on how people organize their LEGO. Here are some interesting links that came from that discussion:

LUGnet's "The Evolution of LEGO Storage"

LEGO Storage Group on Flickr

Troy Cefaratti's BrickShelf folder on storage

And a nice, if pricey, product/system: BrikCrate

I posted this under general discussions instead of the Ambassador section so it can be viewed by anyone visiting the forum.

you should add the pics I added to this forum to that list. I have 23 large drawer organizers.

Funny, a coworker of mine recently asked me how I organize my parts. I'm in the middle of writing up a blog post about it. I'll try to get it up this weekend, with photos.

Right now I'm at the cheap plastic organizer / sandwich bag phase, keeping pieces separated by size and type. And sets that I might have made are also kept in their own little sandwich bag (or freezer bag, depending on size) if they're not on display.

Yeah, I kind of in the same phrase as AJD08 is at this point.

But I have recently been starting to buy Stack-On 60 Drawer Storage Cabinets to transfer my Technic pieces into, which admittedly is more time consuming than I thought it was. Who knew I have so many Technic pieces? XD

So yeah, its kind of matter of debate at this point, if I will continue transferring over other pieces in similar cabinets like these. I would like to though.

Hey all, we use akrobins at my work to separate small parts. They have black dividers down the middle. You can even buy wheeled racks to hang them on. As for me I just work out of large Rubbermaid bins from home. I’m more of the dump the bricks on the carpet type of builder.
