Detective Comics?
I am sure the antisocial amongst us knows that this will be introduced at Comic Con. But I wanted to disseminate the info here.

It is a good thing I sold off my Batman stuff recently. The price should drop precipitously. Which is good, because I want another Catwoman so I can create cat fights.

His physiognomy so grammatical
P.S. Now we are going to get Marvelous characters too. http://toysnbricks.com/marvel-lego-super-heroes-now-included-in-dc-comics-license/

Re: Detective Comics?
I'm predicting Jim Foulds is going to get buried by comic related questions at Brickfair this year.
I'm hoping for some cool Captan America set's myself.

I am less than pleased with all of this. I don't want to see a big shift in MOCs (both online and at conventions) toward comics. This is really going to separate LEGO from its roots just as Star Wars has done. Kids don't say then have LEGO Star Wars, they say they have Star Wars LEGO. I don't want to see all the fanboys' MOCs and frankly I don't want to see events like BrickFair start to allow other media in like a comic convention.

Meow.
But I do agree with you. I would dislike seeing the focus move towards Intellectual Properties and away friom the glory of the brick.

I was going to say that seeing Captain America was unlikely as he's not DC, but it turns out they're licensing Marvel heroes as well! LEGO is taking over the whole world!

Re: Detective Comics?
I can't wait to buy and build with these Super Hero sets. My geekdom is two fold, LEGO and Comics. I've been wanting DC LEGO ever since the Batman line ended and couldn't understand why the two giants let their agreement expire without a renewal.
As for Comics infiltrating the LEGO Cons, that would upset me as well as there barely seems room enough for LEGO at some of these cons. I'd rather it the other way around and have LEGO infiltrate the Comic Cons. This actually began for me at last year's NYCC in which Nathan Sawaya and his Art of the Brick was on display for comic book fans. This type of exhibition brings LEGO to those that might not see it otherwise. My friend and fellow I LUG NYer has signed up the LUG for Maker Faire once again this year which affords us the opportunity to display MOCs in front of the general public. This also gives us the chance to meet other closeted LEGO fans and maybe have them join our ranks.
