Directions to Steamtown

The address is Cliff Ave, Scranton PA 18505. Not sure how a GPS will handle that address without a number.

As far as Google, type in 500 Cliff Ave, Scranton, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania 18503. I know, I know ... it says that it's S Bridge St ... it's not ... it is ... I dunno ... BUT that is the street to be on and 500 Cliff Ave gets you into the parking lot for the Historical site.

Also of note, Google has you taking the Cedar Ave exit BEFORE getting into Downtown. That is a BAD IDEA! Evil or Very Mad

Especially for a van filled with Lego. The turn onto Cedar Ave at the bottow of the ramp is a pain and the next turn to get into Downtown (Lackawanna Ave) is on a VERY STEEP hill. So, please please please, take exit 185 and go all the way into downtown and DO NOT take the right hand exit on Cedar Ave.

Here are some written directions by yours truely coming from points south of Scranton.

1. Head northeast on I-81 N
2. Take exit 185 on the left toward Central Scranton Exprwy
3. Merge onto Central Scranton Expy
4. Take the ramp to Central City/The Mall at Steamtown
5. Merge onto PA-307 N/US-11 N
6. Turn left at Jefferson Ave
7. Jefferson Ave bends to the right and becomes Lackawanna Ave (The Radisson Hotel is to your left)
8. Go 6 lights
- Adams Ave
- Washington Ave
- Wyoming Ave
- Penn Ave
- Franklin Ave
- Mifflin Ave
9. Turn left at Cliff Ave
* Cliff Ave (or S Bridge St) is the left after you pass the parking lot to your left.
10. Follow Cliff Ave up the hill to Steamtown National Historial Site

As you approach the museum you will see the ticket booths and be expected to turn left to find parking. At this point there is an access road to the right (kinda straight) to get behind the building. You will take that access road to unload all Lego. There is parking behind the building for us on Friday.
