As the description says, I'm not too proud of it. This is pretty much what I consider my first MOC. I did it a while ago but I never got around to uploading the pix. I have more if you want to see them. It was mainly a test to see if I could make a modular MOC. Not too hard.

Re: Santa's Beach Getaway Resort
I must admit, when I read the title, I was expecting some sort of gangster twist to Santa's image (which would be a good idea. How does he get all of those brand-name toys for free?).
What you have is a good start. I would reccomend adding some grass pieces here and there to act as "beach grass." You could also add one of those life guard towers. If it were me, I would have the lifeguard have a Jack-O-Latern head to add to the irony of the scene. But do what you want. :-)
I did my own little Christmas ditty last year regarding the commercialization of the holiday. I didn't do it for political/moral reasons. I did it because I thought it was odd and found it amusing to reinterpret Santa's role. lol

Re: Santa's Beach Getaway Resort
It's too late to fix it up now, sadly. But I can certainly use the advice in future projects. Thanks! Originally I was planning to have a wooden shack on the corner but our collection has it's limitations in certain colours.Brickadier General wrote:I must admit, when I read the title, I was expecting some sort of gangster twist to Santa's image (which would be a good idea.
