Re: NYC Lego Store
I did the KoP opening. That was nuts. I don't even go to the store on weekends. Too many uncontrolled kids for me. I will be glad to stay at home and babysit your LEGO for you while you're gone.

Tony,
How much is train fare? If I had someplace to crash (hint), and park my car for the weekend, I might be interested in volunteering Saturday and Sunday.

Re: NYC Lego Store
If you have any info about volunteer slots, etc. let me know. I go up there fairly frequently, and would love to help out.

vyronwynter wrote:Well,
The Grand Opening is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Since it is the week before July 4 the Lego company must have moved it to mid-week. And train fair is about $11 each way from Hamilton NJ to Penn Station NY. And 30 Rock is a short walk past Bryant Park from the train station.
That shoots it for me. I can't take off any more. My Pimp (contrating company: Sphincteron) robbed me of 8 days paid off. They took away my 4 personal days and 2 floating holidays plus recalculated how we get additional vacation days from adding 1 day per year to waiting until after 5 years to get a whole week. (I'll bet some executive got a nice fat bonus for figurint that out!)
Which means I now only get 10 days vacation, 4 of which I have to burn for holidays when the base is closed but my pimp doesn't recognize as real holidays.
With the 4 LEGO events I'm going to this year I'm gong to come up short 2 days as it is. I get PI$$ED every time I think about it.
Pardon my rant...
Anyone know of any good IT related jobs? (Seriously.)
