Right now I have 3 rooms, one of the rooms is booked for the extra night, and I would like to stay that night cause I hate packing up all my stuff on Sunday morning, and I get too tired to drive all they way home Sunday night. So, anyone who wants to stay late can. I can always extend the stay of one of the other rooms if too many of us want to stay. Right now I have 10 people total: KC, Nate, Francis, Mike T, Rob, Mike Ferret, Chris E, Allison, Chris B, Vicky. I can easily take 2 more people as 2 of the rooms only have 3 people in them. alien

Hello guys and gals... Mike T's sweetie would also like to go to Brickfair, and they would like a room to themselves. This would mean that that Chris, Chris, Vicky and Allison are still in 1 room, but KC, Nate, Francis, Rob, and Mike Ferret would be in 1 room together. Are you all OK with 5 in the one room? It is a heck of a lot cheaper that way, but it is a bit crowded. I am all for spending less money. snail

Are Nate and Francis definitely going? Last I heard from Nate, he might have to move to a new apartment that week.

I wasn't at the regular meeting, so I know nothing about Nate possibly not going to Brickfair. I hope if anyone is backing out of a reserved room they let me know ASAP, because I can't afford to pay for the rooms myself.

"Mike Ferret" is Mark Noel and I don't believe he wants to share a bed. I'll ask him if his ears are burning and let him speak for himself here.

Cale just got me set up and I can give a post myself now.

I do not want to cause a big fuss, but I do have some concerns. 5 to a room sounds a bit much. (even if we sleep 2 to each bed, where does #5 sleep?)

I have no issues or problems with anyone in the group and I very much enjoy hanging out talking shop for hours. However, sharing a bed can be a little awkward, especially if you don't know your "partner" very well.

I'm ok if I need to pay a little more for good sleep space. My days of packed convention hotel rooms, sleeping on the floor and in the arm chair have taken their toll. If I were to partake again, my joints will destroy me and my weekend.

I understand that I am the one who is more-or-less joining last. So if this situation is too much for me, I will resign my space and allow others to take over. I will not force others out for my own comfort.

Stacey and I would both like to I think. If there's still room space, we would like it. I usually sleep on the floor, so I'm fine with that. Stacey's not too picky, but would ideally like to find a room with fewer of the snorers. We can sort out our own accommodations if need be, but we're happy to try and fill some space if there is some to be filled.

Because so few of you all said you wanted rooms until just now, I only have 3 rooms, instead of 4. I personally would like to be in a room with 4 or 5 people, so that I pay less.

Chris E, Chris B, Allison, and Vicky want a room together. Not sure if they are willing to take a 5th person on the floor or not. If so, who are you willing to share with?

Mark Noel doesn't want to sleep in a crowded room, but even when he signed on, he was # 3 in that room, which would require some floor time, or sharing a bed with Rob, which I don't think will work. Mark, who and how many are you willing to share with?

Mike T wants a room with just him and his girl. Mike, can you and her sleep together in a double bed, and let someone else in the room use the other bed or not??????? If so, who are you willing to share with?

Is Francis coming?

Rob, you are still coming, right?

Nate and Stacy, who are you willing to share with? Mike T is the loudest snorer I think, but I think Rob and I do also snore occasionally.

Each room has 2 double beds in it, and is 107.91 per night, that includes tax. I have one room booked Thu afternoon thru Mon morning, and the other 2 Thu afternoon thru Sunday morning. I also need to know who, besides me, wants to stay that extra night. So, each room comes to $323.73 total for 3 nights. So, 2 people would pay $161.865 each, 3 people would pay $107.91 each, 4 people would pay 80.93 each, and 5 people would only pay $64.746 each. The extra night would be $35.97 each for 3 people, $26.98 for 4 people, and $21.58 for 5 people. I will need cash by noon on Thursday Aug 4th so I can check into the rooms. If you will arriving late on Thursday, please either pay me at the mini meeting this Wed, or send the $ with someone who is arriving earlier, or Paypal me a GIFT by July 22, so I have time to transfer the money and withdraw it, or mail me a check or money order by July 22 so I have time to cash it.

Feel free to call me, or email me privately, if you don't want to post your questions/concerns on the forum. snail

First, let me apologize if my previous post seemed a bit rude. That would never be my intention. It was a bit late and I was feeling a little rushed about the process (having to get set up to see the thread and all... but that is not important). It has been an incredibly long time since my last convention, so I am way way out of practice in getting this type of stuff organized.

My preferences:
As far as who; I don't know if I have a specific preference. I think I'd most prefer a room with 2-4 people.

I would prefer my own bed if possible. And I'm willing to pay a higher share of the bill than others that share a bed, as I recognize your own bed is a premium. I could take up some floor space if there is enough room for my air-mattress, however, the only one I have is a Queen size, so that might be tough to fit. My joints just cannot take a pad on the floor.

To be completely honest, I hadn't thought about snoring until it was brought up previously. I personally have a lot of trouble sleeping with snoring abound.

Looking back over what I'm looking for, I realize it sounds rather whiney and me-me-me. I don't enjoy tossing around a group just to get "what I want". But I thought it best to try to be honest as to my preferences. These are not set in stone and I'm willing to try and find a workable solution for everyone.

I'm definitely still going. I toss and turn a lot (and snore) so sharing a bed isn't a good idea for me. I'm willing to sleep on the floor some nights if I can get the bed once or twice. I have an aero-bed in the trailer but it slowly leaks overnight.

Alison and I are ok with another person using the floor of our room if Chris and Vicky are ok with it. I wonder if a queen-sized air mattress would fit?

Francis is no longer going. If there's still enough room, Stacey and I can do different rooms. She could go with Chris et al and I could go elsewhere, because the snoring doesnt bother me.

We'll settle all this at the meeting on Wednesday. I'm fine with allowing Mark and his air mattress to be the 5th wheel in the our room. That means it will be cheaper, right? Smile

OK, so how it looks so far I think :
Room 1
Chris B, Chris E, Vicky, Allison, and Mark Noel
Room 2
Mike T and his gal
Room 3
KC, Rob, Nate, Stacy

I have a nice tri-fold foam that someone can use. I might be able to get ahold of a twin size aerobed also. Not sure if a queen size will fit in the room or not. I hope most of you will be at KofP on Wed so we can finalize this.
