Hello Empty Hello

My Name is Jim, I played with lego's for many years as a kid (Mainly Castle and Pirate), and just recently return to it (now in my thirties). My wife bought be a pirate ship from my childhood for christmas last year, but my ultimate project right now is making a switch from model railroad (christmas display) over to a lego train winter display.

I attended the Greater Philadelphia Brickfest over this past weekend and was impressed with many of the displays and was never aware that groups like this existed until the expo. So was coming here to try and find out more and possible look to join the group.

Hello Jim, and Welcome!

I hope you had a good time at the Expo.

We're always open to meeting other AFoLs. (If you don't know all the parlance yet, that means Adult Fans of LEGO.)

You will find ample Train enthusiasts and Castle and Pirate lovers here in PennLUG.

You are welcome to come to meetings and see for yourself what we are all about. Meetings are mostly socializing and show-and-tell of things we've built or are working on with some business related matters.

Our meetings are generally held the first Saturday of each month starting about 11:00 and running through most of the afternoon and sometimes into the evening as long as people want to stay and the host can accommodate. We take turns hosting and we're pretty spread out. Not everyone can make every meeting.

Our next meeting is this Saturday, May 3rd, in Allentown. Where are you located?

I had a good time at the expo, I saw some really nice layouts and some fantastic ideas.

I live right outside West Philadelphia (Suburb).  I am interested in possibly attending a meeting, I would not be able to attend the May meeting due to I work every other Saturday. As it looks right now it appears I am available for the June meeting, provided scheduled on June 7th and depending on location.

I look forward to getting more information, with regards to club and to try and share and gain any knowledge can.
