Batman set PDF instructions
Using BrickLink and eBay and my vast stock of parts, I've started to assemble parts for the various Batman sets. I have some of the instruction manuals, but mostly I'm relying on Lego's cache of PDF manuals on their website.
So having just completed a collection of parts for the Batcave (set 7783) my daughter and I started assembling using the PDFs so thoughtfully provided for us by Lego. We were going fine for a few pages until we hit one of the many black parts assemblies. There is absolutely no distinction in the PDF between the edges of new parts, and because the Batman manuals do not have a listing of the new parts, it's near impossible to tell what parts are needed.
Any thoughts for me short of buying the manual$$$ somewhere? This scenario is true for most of the Batman sets, as they all use a lot of similar black parts. I've scoured the Internet for other scans of the manuals, but they all share the same problem. Maybe there's an LDD version of the instructions?
Any help would be appreciated! (Anyone willing to lend or scan the actual manuals maybe?)

Re: Batman set PDF instructions
How soon do you need them? I just moved so all my stuff is in storage. I think I might have 2 copies.
Let me know

We could probably get back to it next weekend if we had the instructions - thanks so much! What do you propose? Are you offering to lend a copy or would you be willing to sell one? - Bob

Re: Batman set PDF instructions
I just built one from the instructions and may still have the instructions
and I sold it but I do remember building it and digging through my parts to complete it
if you could describe the parts you are having the issue with
or page of instructions perhaps I can help you out with the proper color or part

Re: Batman set PDF instructions
It's pretty much every page where there are black parts on top of other black parts. Too many pages to get into specifics I'm afraid - and it applies to all the Batman sets, not just the Batcave set. Let me see if I can't get a loaner copy of the instructions (or better scan) before I start trying to sort it out page by page.
Thanks. - Bob

Re: Batman set PDF instructions
If I find an extra copy you can just have it ... I'll see if I can find my file cabinet with my instructions. I honestly have no idea where it is after the move.
I'll be in touch.
I'll be in touch.
Re: Batman set PDF instructions
That would be great - thanks so much. We didn't get very far in the Book 1 PDF, and even looked ahead through the Book 2 PDF - and there wasn't one part of it that we could build without racking our brains to figure out the black parts.

re: Batman set PDF instructions
I've been unable to find a copy of the Batcave instructions, so I'll try here one more time before I reluctantly pay an exorbitant price on eBay or somesuch. Does anyone have a copy of the instructions for set 7783 that they'd be willing to give, loan, or sell me?
Also, I'm looking for a torso for the Batman Bane minifig if anyone has it to sell or trade. I've accumulated lots of spare Lego Batman parts over the years... (Also some spares of all 3 collectable minifig series.)

Re: Batman set PDF instructions
Jim (legGodt) said he had a set. He has just been out of touch as he is busy. I will see if I can't contact him and find out if he has these.
Re: Batman set PDF instructions
Hi Bob,
Give it a little time to see if one of us can get you the instructions.
Before you pay an inflated price privately, perhaps you could call LEGO Customer Service (800-835-4386 or Cust Affairs: 800-838-9647 or 800-543-4677) and see if they still have extras they will sell. I have done this with a few sets I didn't own but wanted to build. The prices are very reasonably and you're giving your money to the source.

Re: Batman set PDF instructions
I have them ... they are sitting right next to me. I just haven't had the time to mail them out. I don't want any money or anything since I don't need/want/collect them.
I will do my best to get them out this weekend.
