Brickworld in Chicago is coming up soon. I need to make sure we have enough hotel rooms. Therefore I need to know who is going and will be staying with us at the Westin?

Please respond by this Friday, May 14th.

Thank you.

I am going. I wouldn't want to miss it.

Are there specific plans for transportation to BrickWorld? Was this discussed at one of the meetings I missed?

I am driving and can easily take 2 other people. I may take the trouble of removing my back seat to create more space (SPACE!) and re-install the other 2/3rds of the middle seat. I could then take 3 others easily and 4 others if the 3 in back don't mind being cozy for 12 hours...

KC is driving but I don't remember when she is leaving. She isn't coming back the same week we are. It would make better sense if she could take MOCs.

Who else is driving to Chicago?

I think I'd like to ride with you again if I can, Mike.
I'm hoping to take up less cargo space with my MOCs this year.

I would also like a ride, Mike. I will only be bringing trains, so it should only be two or three small plastic containers of cargo.

I can borrow that car-top carrier from my dad again. We might want to use it this time.

So far I have 6 people staying at the hotel:

Cale
Chris
Nate
KC
Trevor
Mike T

I have booked (the last) two rooms, each with 2 queen beds for 5 nights.

The room rate is $118.95 + 12% taxes (Ouch!) = $133.20/room/night

Split 3 ways each room equals $44.40 per person per night (plus tip).

We can double up on the queen beds or take turns sleeping on the floor.

I think KC will be arriving Thursday or Friday. I will confirm with her.

If we don’t mind 4 in 1 room I can change the arrival date for the second room. I don’t know that we want to cram all 6 in one room for 5 nights…

*******************************************************

Transportation:

It looks like I may have 3 people riding with me* – Cale, Chris & Nate. KC will be driving herself as is Tony, I think.

I would like to leave my place at 8:00am (read as 9:00-ish) Wednesday, June 16th. It is a 12-13 hour drive so with stops we should arrive around 9:00pm or 10:00pm.

We should arrive back probably close to mid-night Monday, June 21st.

Mike Tighe

*I will work on removing my rear seat to make more room for MOCs and booty. KC can probably transport some things. I do't know about Tony's cargo capacity.
