Dangerous Lego ?!?!?!? ZT stupidity.
Here is a report of a kid getting in big trouble for having Lego at school. My fave comment is that IF the gun "is a gun", the the Policeman minifig "is a Policeman", and would therefore legally be allowed to have the gun.

LOL Wow, I read it to my wife she thought it was over the top reaction, but there is a zero tolerance policy in schools. He probably should've been told nicely to put it away and that it's not appropriate for school.
But I remember when we had show and tell and brought in weapons and swords and stuff, lol times have changed.

If this isn't a repeat, then this is the second time in recent months that LEGO and guns in school have been an issue. I wish the folks writing these articles would do their homework and realize that these infractions aren't actually LEGO guns. They are action figure guns and LEGO minifigures. I think it's time that TLG made some kind of statement that these don;t represent their products. These teachers and principles should be taken out of authority as well for wasting the time of the public and unwarranted abuse on kids. I don;t know maybe it's just me getting worked up on hearing LEGO and guns again...
dangerous lego stupidity
I remember seeing that article, however, I also remember getting detention in third grade for saying 'bam you're dead, ha' as part of a dialouge while playing with lego cowboys from the western theme. As a side note, when I saw the article the gun in question was not lego.
